Biomega (バイオメガ Baiomega) is a cyberpunk action manga written and illustrated by Tsutomu Nihei. It is considered to be a standalone story without any direct connections to the Blame! universe, though an alternate version of Toha Heavy Industries exists in this universe as well.
Plot[]
In Tsutomu Nihei's nightmare vision of the future, the N5S virus has swept across the Earth, turning most of the population into zombie-like drones. Zoichi Kanoe, an agent of Toha Heavy Industries, is humanity's last hope, and at the same time he's not even human. With the help of Fuyu, a digitized intelligence built into the computer system of his heavy dual coil motorcycle, Zoichi's search for the key to salvation will take him on a journey across surreal landscapes and hurl him into battle against mind-bending evil.
Setting[]
The story is set in the future, and the plot follows Zoichi Kanoe and his AI companion Fuyu Kanoe, whose luminous form is integrated into the system of his motorcycle. They are agents sent to retrieve humans with the ability to resist and transmute the N5S infection originating from Mars, which is spreading across the world fast, turning humans into "Drones"; disfigured, zombie-like beings.
